The
Royal Beacon Hotel, hereinafter called (the hotel) enters into a
contract, (whether verbal or written) to supply goods and/or services
to you, (the customer) for the price quoted. Reservations/bookings
are only accepted on payment of a deposit, (by cash, cheque, credit/debit
card, electronic transfer, or by other means) unless a properly
established credit account is duly authorized and in place. The
bedroom and function room tariff is clearly displayed at reception,
on our internet website and in various trade magazines, tourist
information offices and holiday journals, however, Terms and Conditions
and this tariff is from time-to-time subject to change and it is
the responsibility of the customer to be aware of our charges.
In the case of hotel accommodation; the hotel requires
a minimum deposit of £50.00 per room, (the deposit
may be greater depending on the time of the year and the duration
of the reservation) and this sum will be forfeited in the event
of cancellation with less than 48 hours notice*; or in the event
of a 'no-show', we reserve the right to deduct the full amount for
a minimum of one night at full rack rate from the credit/debit card
held.
*Corporate or Block Bookings. N.B. In the
case of 'block' or large group reservations (bookings in excess
of 5 bedrooms) the deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled
within 30 days of the day of arrival. In the event of a cancellation
with less than 24 hours notice, the hotel reserves the right to
demand full payment for a minimum of one night at full
rack rate. |
Telephone, email and faxed bookings usually result in our taking
customer's credit/debit card details and taking a minimum deposit
at the time of booking. Should 'the customer' fail to show, or check-out
without making full payment, or be found to have credited items
to their room account - such items have failed to 'catch-up' with
the final bill at the time of check-out, (whosoever may be responsible)
these items will be deducted as 'Customer Not Present' from the
customer's respective card at the subsequent time. The customer
will be notified by post and will be sent a copy of the PDQ receipt.
In the event of a deposit having been made by cheque, or in the
event of booking being charged to an account, any subsequent billing
will be sent through the post and full payment will be expected
by return, or within 28 days.
Damage to Bedrooms/Additional charges:
In the event of damage, (either accidental or wilful) the
hotel reserves the right to pass-on the cost of rectifying any such
damage in full, (this includes vomit, food stains, bed wetting or
pet damage); in addition to the above, the hotel will also charge
in full for any lost room-nights resulting from such incidents.
These charges will be taken from the customer's credit/debit card
as 'Customer Not Present' and the customer will be informed by post.
Double/Twin bedrooms are often let for single occupancy. This is
a concessionary arrangement and carries an element of trust. in
the event that additional persons are found to have occupied these
rooms, we reserve the right to charge in full for double occupancy.

Smoking As from 1st July 2007 the hotel is now
no smoking in all public areas and bedrooms.
We reserve the right to charge £50 for failure to comply with
our smoking policy in bedrooms.
In the case of function-room hire; the hotel requires
a minimum deposit of £50.00, (£300.00 for the ballroom
for a Saturday) any such deposit is strictly non-refundable.
As with bedrooms, any accidental or wilful damage may be charged
to the organisers account.
All bottled drinks, (except wines) are served in glasses and will
not be passed over the bar.
The function bar will close at the normal closing time, (except
in the case of a duly authorised extension) and the Marine Bar will
stop serving alcoholic drinks to non-residents at this time. The
Marine Bar 'may' remain open to residents after 'normal', or 'extended'
hours, however, closing time will always be at the discretion of
the establishment.
Any person found to be drinking personal alcoholic drink, (alcohol
not purchased at the hotel) will be asked to leave.
There are strict guidelines in respect of noise levels and as we
are located within a residential area, it is imperative that these
are not exceeded. If there is any doubt, please consult a member
of staff.
Any person deemed to be behaving in an anti-social manner will be
asked to leave the building.
